The Macdonald Burlington Hotel enjoys a superb location directly opposite Birmingham New Street train station, placing guests within easy reach of shops and restaurants. Many guests appreciated the spacious rooms, some even upgraded to suites featuring a sitting room, large bedroom, and both a shower and a bath. a mixed experience, some issues encountered

convenient locationlack of socketsexcessive noise
the breakfast was acceptable and the hotel's location was convenient.
The reception staff seemed to do the bare minimum. there were no power sockets next to the bed, really frustrating. the noise from the street was excessive, disturbing my sleep even with ear plugs. It started up again around 5am.

I was so excited my husband booked a surprise trip for our wedding anniversary (what a sweetie!). we stayed in a standard twin room on october 25, 2024. a really lovely lady checked us in. She was super professional. breakfast was a good experience too, a great way to start the day (especially the pastries!).
the room was very loud since it faced a busy street.
